Birmingham is among its top 11 in a poll on "America’s Most Livable Communities." The group says one of the Birmingham area’s greatest strengths is its diversity, and the city aggressively works to provide all segments of the population with equal access to community assets.

The Chamber played a huge part in making the Magic City one of the most livable cities. The communities are evaluated on their strategies, visions, and actions towards preparing for the new economy as well for the creativity of their leadership and collaborative efforts across 10 areas. Birmingham is highlighted on the group’s website.
