3/7/2008 Sungard Announces 300 Jobs
Sungard Data Systems of
Pennsylvania announced 300 new financial processing jobs in the Birmingham
region. The move will bring Sungard's total employment in the area to
approximately 1,700.
3/11/2008 Brookwood Pharmaceutical announces $40 million dollar expansion
Brookwood Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Minnesota-based SurModics
announced plans for a pharmacutical manufacturing and training facility in
Birmingham. The expansion will result 350 new jobs for Brookwood, which
currently employs 80.
